Pool Deck Coatings in Kalamazoo, MI

Decorative, Slip-Resistant Pool Deck Coatings

An aging pool deck can make an otherwise beautiful outdoor space look worn. Cracks, stains, and outdated concrete can detract from the area around your pool.

Best Step Coatings provides decorative concrete overlay and coating solutions designed to refresh existing pool decks while creating a finished outdoor surface.

Refresh Aged Pool Deck Concrete

Replacing an entire pool deck isn't always the only option. Depending on the condition of the existing concrete, a decorative overlay can provide a new surface over aged, stained, or cracked concrete.

Best Step Coatings can evaluate the existing pool deck and determine whether a coating or overlay system is appropriate.

Anti-Slip Options for Pool Areas

Pool decks need to provide appropriate traction, particularly around wet areas.

Best Step Coatings offers anti-slip finish options designed with outdoor use in mind. Barefoot-friendly finish options are also available to help create a comfortable surface around the pool.

The specific texture and finish can be selected based on the intended use and desired appearance.

Decorative Concrete for Outdoor Living

A pool deck is more than a walkway around a swimming pool. It is part of your home's outdoor living space.

Decorative concrete overlay systems can provide a premium finished appearance while allowing homeowners to customize the look of an existing concrete pool deck.

Different textures, patterns, and decorative finishes can be considered based on the project.

Breathable Concrete Overlay Systems

Exterior concrete can be exposed to moisture from rain, groundwater, and pool areas.

Best Step Coatings offers breathable concrete overlay options designed to allow moisture movement through the concrete system. This can be particularly important in Michigan, where exterior concrete experiences seasonal freeze-thaw conditions.

Proper system selection and surface preparation are important factors in exterior coating performance.

Protecting Your Pool and Property During Installation

Pool deck installation requires careful attention to the surrounding property.

Best Step Coatings emphasizes clean job sites and the use of protective plastic and styrofoam barriers where appropriate to help protect the pool and surrounding areas during installation.

A New Look for Your Pool Deck

A decorative coating or overlay can transform an outdated pool deck into a more attractive part of your outdoor living space.

Best Step Coatings provides pool deck coating and decorative concrete solutions in Kalamazoo and throughout Southwest Michigan.
